Hello.

Philippa (they/she) is a writer from the scruffy northern edge of the Cotswolds.

Philippa writes neuroqueer horror-inflected poetry, which has been published online and in print and reached the final stages of the Bridport Prize 2026.

Philippa also writes fantasy fiction with watery world-building and Autistic characters kicking ass.

Philippa is constantly trying to make a home beneath a pile of unread books. They are an alum of Curtis Brown Creative and Faber Academy, and feel deeply awkward writing about themselves in the third person. And they would like to go to Ankh-Morpork now, thank you very much.

Writing Accolades

• ‘The River Thieves’ was longlisted for the Goldfinch Novel Award in June 2026 and placed in the Top 50 of the Cheshire Novel Prize in September 2026.

• ‘Moulting’ was shortlisted for inclusion in the BOLD Queer Poetry Anthology in September 2026.

• ‘Cataracts’ was placed in the final stages of the Bridport Poetry Prize 2026.

• ‘The Whitewashed House’ was an honourable mention in the Dark Poets International Poetry Prize IV in 2026, and ‘Summer Body Horror’ was shortlisted for the Dark Poets ‘Small Spaces Big Impact’ Poetry Prize in 2025.
